Primary Schools

What do we do?

C&T has been working with the Primary sector for many years. We’ve now brought our experience to the new, networked theatre practice that has been working so well in secondary schools since 2005.

There are many parallels to the established secondary model, but also many differences.

Our partner primary schools get opportunities, resources and new thinking from C&T that they couldn’t get elsewhere. By bringing to each school a collision of drama, digital media, online resources, national collaborations and professional development, C&T is a route to creative learning that simply can’t be achieved any other way.

With you we’ll build a long-term collaboration which locates C&T’s innovative mix of learning, theatre and technology in your school, all directed towards the outcomes you need.

Why?

Nowhere more than in Primary education is there momentum towards inquisitive, personalised learning where children are encouraged to be independent, imaginative thinkers. They need to be prepared for a future we can barely imagine with the right cognitive and social skills to thrive.

Fortunately, young people want to learn creatively. But it’s hard creating opportunities for creative learning with teachers expected to be multi-specialists. Our partner primaries are discovering that C&T is a great way to spark the imaginations of not just the children, but also teachers.
