The Kiln, Worcester

C&T is resident at The Kiln in Worcester, a base that plays a vital role in how we develop, test, and deliver our work. The residency provides a flexible, accessible home for creative research and development, enabling us to embed our practice locally while maintaining strong regional, national and international partnerships.

From The Kiln, we build sustained relationships with schools, young people, and community groups across Worcestershire. It is a place where teachers, artists, technologists, and participants come together to explore how creativity and digital tools can support learning, inclusion, and wellbeing. Working closely with local schools, we co-design workshops and programmes that respond to real classroom needs, while offering young people opportunities to engage with theatre, technology, and storytelling beyond traditional curricula.

The Kiln is also central to C&T’s R&D activity. Here, we prototype and refine programmes, test new approaches using the Prospero digital platform, and develop accessible methods that can be adapted for different communities and contexts. This research-led approach ensures our projects are robust, scalable, and responsive to those who take part.

Crucially, the residency allows us to grow and connect the C&T network. By hosting partners, sharing practice, and nurturing new collaborations, The Kiln acts as a hub for creative exchange, strengthening links between education, the arts, and community development throughout Worcestershire and beyond.
