Redditch, Worcestershire
C&T has a strong and growing presence in Redditch, delivering place-based creative and digital inclusion projects in partnership with schools, community organisations, and local institutions. Our work combines applied arts practice with accessible digital technologies to address digital exclusion and support participation, skills development, and confidence.
A key recent project is Woodrow Walks, developed with Woodrow First School. This project used GPS-enabled digital storytelling to transform local walks into interactive learning experiences, enabling pupils and families to explore their neighbourhood, share stories, and develop digital and creative skills in ways that were playful, accessible, and rooted in place.
Building on this foundation, C&T is developing future work in Redditch with Redditch United in the Community and Re-imagine Redditch as part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund. This next phase will focus on reaching digitally excluded children, young people, and families through trusted local settings, combining creative engagement, sport, and technology to improve digital confidence, access, and inclusion, while embedding sustainable community partnerships and long-term impact.
