Gaby Songui, Digital Artist & Story Producer
Gaby Songui is a storyteller, producer and digital artist specialising in participatory and community-driven work, particularly with children and young people. Her practice blends narrative design, video production and interactive technologies to create engaging, accessible digital experiences.
Gaby began working with C&T in 2022, where she developed a multidisciplinary “choose your own adventure” Story System using Prospero, C&T’s digital platform. The project expanded the platform’s creative application by integrating video game logic with theatre-based storytelling, and was successfully delivered in primary schools nationwide. Since then, she has been commissioned on further C&T projects, developing work that incorporates advanced features such as geolocation and dynamic randomisation to create responsive, user-led narratives.
Her combined skill set—writing compelling interactive stories, producing and editing video content, and working fluently with digital systems—enables her to create richly layered experiences that foreground participation and audience agency.
Alongside her work with C&T, Gaby has delivered a range of site-responsive digital audio projects with heritage partners including Aston Hall, Moseley Road Baths and Selly Manor, creating work that responds to the histories and atmospheres of each site. Most recently, she collaborated with Warwick Arts Centre to produce an audio experience accompanying an exhibition by Daiga Grantina.
For this project, Gaby contributes to the design and creation of interactive narrative content, ensuring that digital storytelling is accessible, imaginative and responsive to diverse audiences.
